The People Behind the Blue Fish.
Shelby Plumbing isn’t a franchise or a call center routing you to a stranger. It’s Jorge, his crew, and a mascot with a tool belt — all based right here in Moreno Valley.

Why "Shelby," and why this blue fish wears a tool belt
Note: no personal namesake behind “Shelby” was specified, so this is written as an intentional brand choice — approachable and memorable — not an invented backstory.
Jorge Candia started Shelby Plumbing Inc with one specific complaint in mind: too many homeowners get a plumber who guesses first and diagnoses later.
Jorge built Shelby Plumbing to work the other way — find the real problem, explain it clearly, then fix it.
The name was chosen to sound like a name you’d trust with a house key, not a franchise you’d forget by tomorrow. The mascot — a friendly blue fish in a tool belt, wrench in hand — was chosen on purpose too: water is the whole job here, and a company that takes leak detection seriously can still be a company that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
As a newly licensed California contractor (License #1154208), Shelby Plumbing doesn’t have twenty years of reviews yet. What it has is a licensed owner who personally stands behind every job, and a standard he’s not willing to lower to build a client list faster.
We diagnose before we quote — every time
No price over the phone before anyone's looked at the actual pipe. A guess isn't a quote, and we won't pretend it is.
The Rules We Don't Break
Personally trained, not just hired
Every technician trains under Jorge before working solo — never a stranger passed through a staffing agency.

The Faces Behind the Van
Every technician who shows up at your door is personally trained and background-checked by Jorge — never a subcontractor you’ve never met.

Built for Inland Empire homes, not a generic service area
Moreno Valley homes deal with a specific set of plumbing stressors: summer heat that stresses pipe joints, shifting soil that contributes to slab movement, and older plumbing systems that weren’t built for today’s water pressure demands.
Whether you’re near the Moreno Valley Mall corridor or out toward the Perris foothills, you’re not getting a subcontractor from two counties away — you’re getting a locally licensed, locally accountable company.
